The Tri-Cities Soccer Association was founded in 1977 to provide a fun and healthy environment for the Fox Valley youth to play soccer. Over the years, it has grown to become one of the largest independent youth soccer organizations in Northern Illinois with over 400 teams. We strive to remain both a community based club built on the amazing volunteer spirit of our families and strong relationships with the local park districts of Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and South Elgin and a competitive club for those seeking a more competitive environment.
The mission of the Tri-Cities Soccer Association (TCSA) is to provide instructional and competitive youth soccer opportunities that enhance the character, community and love of the game of soccer. Integrated within this is building of self-esteem, self-confidence, team work, respect for self and others along with all the inherent benefits of physical exercise.
To maximize the experience for our 4,000 plus participants between the ages of 4-18 years old, our association is organized into three areas of participation: Recreational, Travel and Premier.
TCSA Professional Coaching Staff
TCSA has a full-time Professional Coaching Staff to support the Recreation, Academy, Travel and Premier Programs. The TCSA Coaching Staff develops curriculums and training programs that are age and level appropriate for participants and coaches at all levels. Programs include individual player and team training, TCSA Academy, Winter Skills, Summer Camps, Speed & Agility and Goal Keeper training.
TCSA Recreational: "Where it all begins". This is the largest of our programs and involves some 3,600 participants in age groups of Under 6 coed, Under 7 boys and girls, Under 8 boys and girls, Under 9 boys and girls, Under 10 boys and girls, Under 12 boys and girls, Under 14 boys and girls, and our coed group of High School aged participants, we call “Seniors”.
Hand in Hand is our pre-school recreational program for 3-4 year olds. This is a fun, non-competitive atmosphere designed to introduce our youngest participants to the beautiful game of soccer. Weekly classes are 45 minutes long and incorporate the parent and child in fun games.
TCSA Travel Soccer: this program runs under separate age, organization and participation rules dictated by: The Illinois Youth Soccer Association, and further, the Illinois Women’s Soccer League and the Northern Illinois Soccer League. This programs serves over 600 of our youth who are looking for a bit more of a challenge in and a commitment to soccer.
TCSA Premier: this program provides the highest level of competition within the sport of soccer for “club soccer”. Professional Coaches lead this program for those TCSA participants who have the desire, competitiveness, and dedication to play at this level. TCSA’s goal is to provide every child the opportunity to play soccer at the highest level of their capability. The Premier level is intended to complement our Recreational and Parent Coached Travel programs.
TCSA Academy: This training is offered to selected U7, U8, and U9 recreational soccer participants as a way to introduce them into travel soccer. This 9+ week program is led by our professional coaching staff and involves one hour of training followed by a game. The Academy trains and plays on Sunday's at our home fields. It is designed for those who desire a higher level of training and competition. The focus is on technical and footskills mastery along with fitness and team work.
