TRI-CITIES SOCCER NEW REFEREE REQUIRMENTS
Age EligibilityAs of January 1, 2010 all new youth referees must be 14 years old to be eligible to referee. There is no exception to this policy. That means that you had to be born before 9/1/1995.
Work Permit
It is mandatory that anyone under the age of 16 years old has to have a work permit. The work permits will be given to each individual who needs it at the Part 1 clinic. The permit will need to be filled out by a parent and then taken to the high school of the town they live to be processed. The school will give you back the pink copy (for parents) and the yellow (for TCSA), to be returned to TCSA before the start of the season. Work permits are good for 1 year.
Partner System
New referees to our program will be given a Level 1 status and will be “partnered” with another referee. Either a friend of your choice or a “partner” will be assigned to you.
REFEREE EQUIPMENT
Tri-Cities Soccer will provide all new referees with referee equipment the first time only. You will receive the following:
- Black Referee Shirt (with pocket)
- 1 pair of Black Socks

- Flag Set
