Over Mother's Day Weekend, the Geneva Republican covered a story on the U11 TCSA Geckos Team Manager Debra Simon.  The article covered all aspects of what the team managers role actually is. describing what kind of duties they may perform prior to the beginning of the season and throughout the season.

This article is a tribute to all of the team managers throughout the TCSA community.  We appreciate all of your hard work and things would not run as smoothly if it weren't for all of you!

vlatko_minicTri-Cities Soccer recently hired Vlatko Minic to lead our high school premier program.  Mr. Minic, a former college and professional player, will lead the 14-18 year old teams (U15-U19) beginning in 2010.

Mr. Minic currently coaches the girl’s high school team at St. Joe’s High School and the 15-17 year olds at the Red Star Soccer Club, both in Kenosha, WI.  His U16 Red Star team was the State Cup runner up last year in Wisconsin after only being together for two years.  “The goal for our High School program is to build high level boys and girls teams which can consistently compete for Illinois State Cup, compete in College Showcase tournaments and help the boys and girls from the Tri-Cities area achieve college scholarships,” says Jeff Durocher, Board Member for Tri-Cities Soccer.  “Coach Minic has proven that he can do that so we look forward to having him join TCSA.”

“I’m very excited about working with Tri-Cities Soccer to help them build their high school program,” says Mr. Minic.  “There is tremendous opportunity for high level soccer in the Tri-Cities area.”
