Vlatko Minic, Director of Coaching for Premier Program

 

License:  USSF National D

 

Experience:  After a successful  youth playing career, Vlatko attended the University of Wisconsin where he was part of the building block that won the National Championship in 1995.  His professional playing career included stints with the Milwaukee Rampage and the Pittsburg Stingers.  Previous to TCSA, Vlatko was the assistant coach for four years at UW-Parkside.  During his tenure he helped guide the program to a 40-7-7 record, including two conference championships and two NCAA appearances.  In 2004 Vlatko co-founded the Red Stars Youth Soccer Club in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  In 2010 he was instrumental in merging the Red Stars with United FC to create one premier club.  Vlatko joind TCSA in 2009, taking on the role of Director of Coaching in 2011.

Tim Balatsoukas, Technical Director/Director of Academy

 

License:  USSF National Youth License, NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, Greek FA License

 

Experience:  Tim has coached both US Youth and Greek Youth Soccer for the past 11 years.  He arrived in the United States in 2004 having played professionally in Greece for five years from 1998-2003.  Tim was a four year starter for Judson University, six time NCCAA National Champions.  As a player he earned a number of honors including Leading Points Scorer twice, was named to All-Regional and All-Area Teams, Team Captain and was named to the 2006 All-Illinois State Team.  Tim is also certified in Coerver Coaching and has been leading programs for over four years.  He joined TCSA in the summer of 2010.

David Parker, Technical Advisor

 

License:  NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA Advanced National Dipoloma, NSCAA National Diploma

 

Experience:  David is President and CEO of Soccer Success, Inc., a Coerver Coaching Licensee in Illinois and the Official Camp and Training Company for the Illinois Youth Soccer Association, Lil' Kickers franchisee for the Tri-Cities Area and Management Company for Sportsplex of St. Charles.  He has several years of coaching experience including Assistant Women's Coach for Lewis University from 2006-2007 and with various local soccer clubs including Kickers United, Strikers FV and TCSA.  He was also the NSCAA Associate Staff Instructor for Region VII.  David joined TCSA in 2011.

 Freddie-King-150

Freddie King, Staff Coach

 

License:  NCSAA Premier Diploma

 

Experience:  Freddie is a native of Texas and began playing soccer in the Dallas suburbs at 8 years of age, competing in numerous international tournaments throughout his youth career.  He went on to play collegiate soccer at Judson University in Elgin for four years, was selected as a First Team NSCAA All-American member and was chosen to play in the prestigious NAIA Senior Bowl game.  After college he played professionally for the Charlotte Eagles, Rockford Raptors and Indiana Blast in the United Soccer League.  Freddie began his coaching career at Judson University heading up the JV program in 1992 and 1993.  In 1994 he became the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Indiana Wesleyan University, leading the program to its first winning season.  In 1996 Freddie became Head Men's Soccer Coach for Indiana Wesleyan where he led the program to Conference and Conference Tournament Championships in 1998.  He served as the Assistant Coach for the Chicago Eagles in the Premier Development League in the summer of 2002.  From 2003-2008 Freddie was the Head Women's Soccer Coach for Judson University, winning the Conference Tournament Championship in 2007.  As a youth soccer coach he has served at virtually every age level and was IYSA State Cup Champion in 2008 while coaching FC Barrington's U17 boys team.  Freddie resides with his wife Amy and their four children in Elgin, Illinois.  Freddie joined TCSA in the fall of 2012.

Danny Madrigal, Staff Coach

 

License:  USSF C, USSF National Youth

 

Experience:  Danny attended college in Nebraska, playing his college career with Division I Creighton University.  After college he went onto a professional playing career with the Milwaukee Rampage, Milwaukee Wave United and in 2007 represented the United States in the World Cup of Club Futsal in Portugal for World United FC.  Danny has also been an Olympic National Pool Player and has gained international playing experience in Brazil, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Austria, Hungary, Denmark, Canada and Portugal.  As a coach Danny spent 2003-2009 as Director of Coaching and Player Development for Lake Country SC of Wisconsin.  He has also been on staff with the Wisconsin Olympic Development Program as a head coach.  In 2004 Danny was named Wisconsin Youth Coach of the Year.  From 2009-2011 he was Head Men's Coach with Milwaukee Area Technical College.  Danny remains part of the UNC Woman's Summer Camp Staff.  He joined TCSA in 2012.

 

 

Ivan-150

Ivan Radic, Staff Coach

 

License:  US Adult License

 

Experience:  Ivan's professional playing carrer began at the age of 16 when he was selected as the first draft pick for FC Red Star of Yugoslavia.  He continued his professional playing career for the next 13 years playing for FC Red Star, FC Udarnik, FC Borac, FC Smederevo and FC Morava.  Ivan also played with FC United Serbs in the Chicago Metro League for three years.  Ivan spent the earlier part of his coaching career within the Serbian Womens Professional League coaching FC Cacak in Serbia.  He also coached at Lemont Raiders and AC Schwaben.  Ivan joined TCSA in 2009.

Alen Osmanovic, Staff Coach

 

License:  USSF National D

 

Experience:  Alen played collegiate soccer for University of Wisconsin Parkside where he was the leading scorer and team captain, and was awarded Team MVP, Offensive MVP and Academic All-Conference.  He played professionally in Germany with FC 08 Homburg and played professional  indoor soccer with the Milwaukee Wave and the Chicago Storm.  He also spent 11 years working for the Milwaukee Wave's Professional Soccer Camps as both coach and site director.  In 2010 Alen was the Assistant Coach at University of Wisconsin Parkside.  Alen has been coaching youth soccer since 2001 at various club in the Wisconsin area, including Brookfield SA, Mequon United and Racine SC.  Alen joined TCSA in the spring of 2012.

 

 

 

Cristiano-150

Cristiano Costa, Goalkeeper Coach

 

Experience:  Cristiano has over 22 years of soccer experience.  In 1991 he began his soccer career in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil playing for the professional team Vasco de Gama.  He spent nine years training and playing as goalkeeper before transitioning to ABC and Botafogo PB where he played two  more years professionally.  In 2006 Cristiano moved to the United States where he played for two years at Oklahoma Baptist University before transferring to Judson University to play for three more years.  In 2009 he played for FC Hansa Lüneburg in Germany.  Cristiano also played for the PDL soccer league Thunder Bay Chill in Canada from 2010-2011.  In addition to providing training to TCSA goalkeepers Cristiano also assists with the Academy Program and Skills Training Programs.

 

 

 Doco-150

Doco Wesseh, Staff Coach

 

Experience:  Doco, a native of Liberia, began his competitive soccer career in Guinea playing for the Champion club AS Kaloum of Conakry.  He was later transferred to The Ivory Coast where he played in the top division with RFC Daoukro.  Doco was named to the Liberian National Team in 1998.  In 2000 Doco moved to the United States to attend Malone University after being awarded an athletic scholarship and won numerous awards including All-American, All-Region and Conference Teams, Leading Scorer and Regional Player of the Year Awards.  He later transferred to Judson University where he played for two years earning two All-American Awards, CCAC Player of the Year, All-Region Team and All-Conference, leading both the Conference and Region in scoring.  In 2004 Doco was drafted by the Virginia Beach Mariners of the USL A League.  He went on to play with the Thunder Bay Chill in Canada and the Montreal Impact where he was named MVP and leading scorer.  Doco also coached in the Thunder Bay Chill youth program for three years.  In 2010 he served as an Assistant Coach for one of Liberia's top clubs, Roots FC.  Doco joined TCSA in 2010.
